BIE
The contextual layer of the CCTS Core Component model.
Definition
A BIE is produced by applying Context Drivers (industry, geography, role…) to a Core Component to fit a business use. An ABIE is a restricted ACC, a BBIE a restricted BCC, and an ASBIE a restricted ASCC. The BIE layer is what is directly projected to UBL and the CII.
Origin
Defined by the UN/CEFACT Core Components Technical Specification (CCTS 2.01 / ISO 15000-5).
Example in context
The BCC "Amount. Content" becomes, in the invoice context, the BBIE "Invoice_ Line. Net_ Amount. Content".
