Definition

CAE is the digital authorisation issued by AFIP for each electronic invoice in Argentina. 14-digit code with vencimiento (expiration) date. Without CAE, the invoice has no fiscal validity. Requested via SOAP Web Services WSFE / WSBFE / WSMTXCA.

Origin

Introduced by AFIP with the generalisation of electronic invoicing in 2015.
