MT767 — Guarantee / Standby Letter of Credit Amendment
Amendment of a guarantee or Standby Letter of Credit (SBLC) previously issued by MT760. Mainly used to extend validity, increase or decrease the guaranteed amount, change the beneficiary.
Purpose
MT767 is used when the initial guarantee (MT760) must be modified. Typical cases: extension following a contract amendment, increase to cover additional risks, partial release after a milestone delivery. The amendment remains subject to the beneficiary's agreement (URDG 758 article 11) — without their acceptance, the guarantee stays in its initial form.
